Colorful, it has a ring of poetry to it that places you there. The drama of the two friends, Tom Cooper and Barney Oldfield, pushing each other to drive harder and harder in their Cooper-Ford racers. The event took place at the Indiana State Fairgrounds dirt horsetrack with Calr Fisher organizing the show. Fisher founded the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1909.
