This is a terrific bio piece done on Dario Resta shortly after he began competing in the United States in 1915. He had only recently married Mary Wishart Resta, the sister of one of the young chargers of the day, Spencer Wishart. This is an excellent source for anyone interested in Resta's career.
The original source reports that this is a photo of Dario Resta in a an English Sunbeam at the 1913 French Grand Prix in Amiens, France. Resta won at Indy in 1916. He finished sixth in this event.
Harry Knight was called the "hero of Indianapolis" after his quick thinking to save the life of mechanic Charlie Anderson in the first Indianapolis 500. Sadly, he lost his life just two years later in a Columbus, Ohio dirt track race. Read about this interesting young man here.
