Case Team Savannah Training Camp

This photo is a Case Racing Team training camp in 1911. The notation above one of the drivers is the last name, "Horey," for Fred Horey. According to historian Don Radbruch in his excellent history, "Dirt Track Auto Racing, 1919 - 1941," Horey spent most of his career in the International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) and became their first champion in 1925. Although Horey never drove at Indianapolis, he was a riding mechanic in 1913 for driver Joe Nikrent.
