Dawson Home Juxtaposition

Larry Snyder, the grandson of Joe Dawson's brother Charles, provided a picture of the home 1912 Indianapolis 500 winner Joe Dawson lived in with his parents, Chase and Clara when he won the great race. Dawson was not yet 23 years old and remains the second-youngest winner of the Indianapolis 500. As of 2023 the house still stands, its historical significance unrecognized other than this writing. It is a rental property and in need of repair. It was in this house Joe had his den where he retreated to chill out after winning the Indianapolis 500.

Thanks to Esther Dill here is a side-by-side comparison of the photo circa 1912 and the house as it exists in 2013.
