Impressive Practice for First Indy 500

07/21/2009

I just uploaded three articles about practice for the first Indianapolis 500. They describe some intense action with big name stars of the day cutting fast laps: David Bruce-Brown, Ralph Mulford, Caleb Bragg, Lewis Strang and Fred Belcher whose POV on the race is the subject of a new book. Reading this stuff really puts you at the Brickyard on May 23, 1911. The articles were published in the May 24, 1911 Indianapolis Star.
