Some early images from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

This is a sensational shot of the Johnny Aitken - Hughie Hughes finish in the 50-mile Harvest Classic race. This remains one of the closest finishes in the history of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was insanely close for 1916 - just 0.27 seconds.
