Final Practice for First Indy 500 Time Trials

Today I posted an article that describes the final day of practice before the first Indianapolis 500 time trials. These time trials were not for position, but simply to meet minimum speed requirements. Only two cars failed to meet the standard of reaching 75 miles per hour down a portion of the home stretch. Starting order was determined by the order of when entry forms were filed.
