Blitzen Benz

Wild Bob Burman set a new track world record for the mile at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 29, 1911. The previous record was set by Barney Oldfield in 1910. Both drivers used the same car - the famous "Blitzen" Benz. I just added an article package from the May 29, 1911 Indianapolis News (the evening edition) that tells the story plus a lot more.
