Ansterberg Qualifies!

Meet Ernie Ansterberg, who competed in the 1924 Indianapolis 500. He lost his life on the board track of Charlotte Speedway October 16, 1924. The toll of lives lost on board tracks was devastating. The exact spelling of Ansterberg's name is unclear. It has also been spelled, "Ansterburg." Most in-period sources spell his name as it appears in this entry's title.
