Frank Kulick

This photo is of Model T Ford driver Frank Kulick, who raced Ford automobiles during the first quarter of the 20th century. Henry Ford felt there was more value to his company for Kulick to compete with lower power stock-based machines. This avoided the expense of purpose-built race cars and demonstrated the performance of cars the American public could purchase. An injury to Kulick in 1908 triggered a call by Ford to stop auto racing on horse tracks.
