Fred Comer

This is four-time Indianapolis 500 starter Fred Comer after being patched up as a result of a board track sliver penetrating his forehead. I believe this injury occurred at Culver City on March 21, 1926. Comer's best finish in the "500" was fourth in 1926. He lost his life on a New Hampshire board track in 1928.
