Indian's Charles Franklin

American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Hall-of-Fame member Charles Franklin was an Irish rider, engineer, and designer for Hendee Manufacturing, the owner of Indian Motorcycles. He was a top drawer rider which included a runner-up finish in the legendary Isle of Mann Tourist Trophy. He is even better known iconic bikes such as the Indian Scout and Indian Chief. He is seen here at the Altoona board track in July 1925.
