Joe Dawson's Indianapolis Home

In this contribution from Larry Snyder, the grandson of Joe's brother Charles, we can see a picture of the home 1912 Indianapolis 500 winner Joe Dawson lived in with his parents, Chase and Clara when he won the great race. He was not yet 23 years old and remains the second-youngest winner of the Indianapolis 500. As of 2013 the house still stands, its historical significance unrecognized other than this writing. It is a rental property and in need of repair. It was in this house Joe had his den where he retreated to chill out after winning the Indianapolis 500.

Check out my article about this great auto racing champion - a man about which too little has been recorded.
