Wintergust and Dutton

The two men you see here are nearly forgotten figures of auto racing in the 1920s. On the left, we have Ed Wintergust and next to him is Reeves Dutton. Wintergust was a highly respected executive for Richfield Oil Company and was nicknamed, "The Mayor of Gasoline Alley." Dutton was a mechanic and relief driver for Earl Cooper. This picture was captured at Altoona in 1925. Thanks to the Paul Sheedy Collection for this photo.
