Across From The Pits

Thanks to Frank Di Buglione, owner of off the wall art, LLC for sharing his collection of amateur snapshots from the 1930 Indianapolis 500. Here we see the photographer's best efforts to show off the pit area from his or her grandstand seat outside the track. The 1930 race's winner was Billy Arnold. The pit boxes pictured are for the Duesenberg team of drivers Bill Cummings' (6), Babe Stapp's (8), and Deacon Litz' (12). We can also see the pit for Chet Gardner (18) in a privately entered Duesenberg.
