Bullet at Ormond 1904

This is a great image of Barney Oldfield racing the Winton Bullet 2 on Ormond Beach near Daytona in 1904. This was an important milestone in Oldfield's career because he won the competition mile record over the accomplished amateur millionaire, William K. Vanderbilt, Jr. in his German Mercedes, widely regarded as the fastest car in the world at that time.
