Culver City Crowd

This is the crowd's view at start-finich for the  Culver City board track race November 39, 1925 for American Automobile Association (AAA) race that day. Six-time Indianapolis starter Frank Elliott scored the victory. Note the nearly-full grandstands on the back stretch. There is not doubt these races were exciting - the pole speed was 141.5 mph in 1925!
