Tommy Milton, 1923

This is another great perspective piece from artist David Story. This outstanding sketch captures an image of 1923 Indianapolis 500 winner Tommy Milton and his H.C.S. Motor Company racer. The car was actually a Miller and H.C.S. was owned and operated by Harry Stutz. Stutz was forced out of the first car company he started in a mutiny by his board of directors. Milton drove with fellow Indianapolis 500 winner Howdy Wilcox, who served as his relief driver. This was Milton's second "500" victory, the first coming in 1921.
