IUPUI Presentation

03/23/2015

This blog post is most relevant to the audience for my March 24, 2015 presentation to the IUPUI motorsports class.

I thought would reference some links and attach an outline of my intended remarks.

I don't want to spend a lot of time talking about myself but naturally those listening may want to know about my credentials to that end the "About" page on this site should be helpful. Also, there is a biography on me for the Tobacco Road Marathon Association (a 501c3 non-profit business) supporting several high-file charity. Obviously this Web site makes a big statement about my level of interest in motorsport. While I am fascinated with its history, especially American racers relevant to the Indianapolis 500, I also believe a grasp of history is useful in creating a vision of the future. The men who launched the sport in its early days were true entrepreneurs.

Specific to IndyCar, looking ahead and understanding my views on how to move forward two articles are useful:

  • My recent column in RACER Magazine's Web site, which is part of their IndyCar 2018 series.
  • My follow-up to that column in my own blog.
  • I will also be interviewed this Saturday on the Los Angeles auto racing radio show, "The 405," this Saturday at 9 a.m.

I have also attached an outline of the topics I intend to discuss.
