Uniontown Board Track

The Uniontown Speedway board track was built in 1916 by steel barons and film and auto industry moguls. The wood was hauled by train from the American Lumber Company in Pittsburgh to Uniontown, and by horse-drawn wagons from the station to Hopwood Meadow. It took only 2 months to build this Jack Prince designed, 1 & 1/8 mile oval with 58 degree banked curves.
