The Beauty of Links

11/13/2009

I try to update First Superspeedway every day, writing captions and article summaries or loading entirely new content. More and more, I link to relevant information elsewhere on the site or to resources I think are useful elsewhere on the Internet.

I want to call your attention to something I worked on today - a caption to the image I captured of Ray Harroun's wreck on the Marmon Wasp. The point I am making is that if you go to this link and then link to additional information you find there, you could waste a heck of lot of time learning and enjoying yourself with great information about Ray Harroun, the Marmon Wasp(s), Starter Fred Wagner, the Wheeler Schebler Trophy and the incredible wreck of the Marmon Wasp in 1910.

Bottom line, the thing that makes this kind of entry possible is that you are currently engaged with the world's leader in on-line primary research about pre-1920 auto racing history.
