The image is of Bill Endicott (nicknamed "Farmer") at the wheel of his Cole race car. Endicott was one of the more experienced drivers of the day and was one of the men who braved the cold of the Brickyard December 1909 time trials. Bill, the elder brother of Harry Endicott, was entered in the May races referenced above.
