When Speedway History Began

This is an amazing article for its perspective and vision. Written by Ernie Moross it articulates a feeling I have long had - that the history of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway begins when the concept in Carl Fisher's mind first popped up, not at the construction of the facility that was underway by March 1909. In the attached article Moross not only asserts that the history of the Speedway began several years before its construction but provides an overview of Fisher's vision and the forces that came together to manifest his dream.
