DePalma on Oldfield

This is an interesting article because it was written by Barney Oldfield's chief rival, Ralph DePalma. In it DePalma describes what he viewed to be a hugely risky move made by Oldfield at dirt track in Providence, Rhode Island in 1918. Oldfield managed to dive into an impossible opening to nip DePalma on the last turn of the last lap in one of their classic match races. Oldfield was driving his legendary Harry Miller creation, the "Golden Submarine."
