Herb Lytle's Illness

This is a very brief item published in the Indianapolis Star March 15, 1909 that provides an update on the status of Herb Lytle as he recovered from a tough bout with Typhoid Fever. This was a serious illness that lasted about six months as it started shortly after the October 24, 1908 Vanderbilt Cup. Lytle was recognized for his extensive experience with automobiles and as a race driver, regarded as the "dean" of this era. The James Gordon Bennett Cup was among the many races on Lytle's resume.
