National Ad - Atlanta 1909

This ad for the National Motor Vehicle Company "40" model is a lift from the November 17, 1909 Indianapolis Star. The ad focuses on the performance of that model - although the company's "60" model is also mentioned - in the recent inaugural race meeting at the new Atlanta Speedway. Note the price for the "40" is $2,500 and it is touted as the "fastest American car at the meet with the single exception of the National 60."

The ad provides handy reference information as it shares results where a National car finished in the top four during the meet which extended from Tuesday, November 9 through Saturday, November 13. The two team drivers were Johnny Aitken and Tom Kincaid. The results appear below with driver, finishing position, race distance, time and car class listed in that order. All but three of these results were achieved with the "40." Those using the "60" are designated as such.
