Carl Fisher Marian College

This is another article that provides insights to the personal side of Carl Fisher. Written by Betty Blythe, the first woman to tour the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (in 1909 she rode with driver "Wild" Bob Burman at racing speed and lived to write about it) this story describes Carl and Jane Fisher's estate - called "Blossom Heath" - on Cold Spring Roads in Indianapolis. The estate still exists as a part of the campus of Marian College, which purchased the property in the 1960s. This article was published in the Women's Section of the Indianapolis Star's Sunday edition on February 2, 1913. Now, here's something really interesting: this article appeared in the newspaper the same day as coverage of juicy details as ex-girlfriend Gertrude Hassler's palimony suit were published.
