Fisher & Wife Jane Road Trip

This is a very brief item published in the January 8, 1910, Indianapolis News. It notes a midwinter extended car trip by Carl Fisher, one of the four founders of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He was accompanied by his new wife, Jane, the author of a biography found elsewhere on First Super Speedway. Although no details are provided, the report asserts that despite the use of Fisher's new "Torpedo-body" design Stoddard-Dayton, "all the usual appliances for keeping warm were carried." The pair's destination was St. Joe, Michigan. The city is known as a tourist resort community.
