Jackson Company Sues the Speedway

In this August 26, 1909 article the Jackson Automobile Company is reported to be sueing the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for rights to the Wheeler-Schebler Trophy. Officials had determined that because the Wheeler-Schebler Trophy 300-mile race was halted before it was completed, there was no official winner. Leigh Lynch drove a Jackson car and was leading when the race was flagged.
