May 9 - Liesaw Practices

These are two items from the May 9, 1913 Indianapolis Star.

The first attached article reports on cars and drivers beginning to arrive at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in preparation for the 500-Mile Race on May 30. Billy Liesaw had practiced in his Anel racer and "Speed King" Bob Burman was in the garage area buidling a work bench. George Clark was at the track waiting on the arrival of his Tulsa racer.

The second attachment presents a digest column from the May 9, 1913 Indianapolis News and contains a small item on driver Billy Knipper and his Henderson racer. There is also a mention of Frank Moore who was a close associate of Carl Fisher and held an executive position at the Fisher Automobile Company for a time.
